Novel "It tasted more bitter than usual."
If you've seen the Japanese section of the KOFMI2 website, you'll notice that there's a tab that reads 'NOVEL'. There you'll find five additional novels relating to some of the characters. Nagase was featured in one of them. I hopped around looking for translations (C'mon SNK get off your butts and put those babies into English), and I got a really rough one, so I can give you a basic summary. This is just speculation, I won't confirm anything until an actual translation is here, I just figured I'd give you a tiny heads up!The novel dives into the (attempted) assassination of Luise Meyrink. As you know, Jivatma 'hired' Nagase to kill Luise. I'm not clear on whether or not it takes place before or after MI2, but from what I got of the rough translation, Nagase makes her way into the Meyrink mansion and comes across a room where the sounds of the organ (or piano) are heard. Making her way inside, Nagase finds Luise playing away brilliantly, hair tailing after her (Ureshino loves putting emphasis on Luise's beauty. We're aware of it dude lol). After she stops playing, Luise notices Nagase, and they exchange words. There is physical confrontation before Jivatma comes in along the way. By this point, Nagase has returned to the Mosque where Jivatma waits, and he remarks on her and Luise's battle. The novel ends with Nagase atop the Mosque, eating the vitamin supplent she takes, however it tastes much more bitter on that particular evening.
Yeah, I'm a little disheartened to see Nagase lose..okay, no, nearly get herself killed by Luise. I could go into a whole Pro-Nagase thing, but hey. You win some, you lose some. Sadly, I didn't expect Nagase to succeed. |
